Thai yoga massage

Experience many of yoga's benefits within a massage. It is pain-free work that deeply affects the fascia, flexibility, and proprioception for greater ease and flow in your body.

Thai massage derives from ancient Ayurvedic, Yoga, and Buddhist philosophy. It also serves our modern understanding of needing to treat the nervous system to unlock patterns of physical and mental tension in the body. Great for relaxation, flexibility, stress management, and pain reduction.

It is a therapeutic full-body massage that restores wellness and flexibility and deepens awareness and connection between body and mind. Experience improved flexibility, mobility, greater oxygenation of the blood, postural alignment, and quieting of the mind.

Like most eastern bodywork, the massage is performed fully clothed and oil-free. The client remains passive and is encouraged to focus on the breath for present moment awareness and full releases of tensions.Bodywork techniques are a combination of assisted-yoga stretches, rhythmic compression, joint manipulation, gentle twisting, rocking, energy balancing, and acupressure.

We will work in four basic positions: on your back, side-lying, on your stomach, and seated. Palms, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet are used as healing instruments. Thai massage is adaptable for all fitness and flexibility levels and is adaptable to all body types and ages. Clients wear loose/stretchy pants and a shirt (not a tank top) allowing for full range of motion. We can loan you Thai fisherman pants and a tshirt.
